Courses and fees
IIT Kharagpur lists 40 programmes in the engineering stream. Most undergraduate courses run for 48 months, and include Aerospace Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering. Science and economics courses such as Chemistry, Physics, Economics and Mathematics and Computing also run for 48 months.
Architecture and a number of integrated or dual-degree courses run for 60 months. These include Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering with M.Tech. in the listed specializations, Mechanical Engineering with M.Tech. in the listed specializations, Mining Safety Engineering and Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture.
